  • Led outdoor excursions with groups of BSU students and faculty, including multi-day backpacking and raft trips, local hiking, and day trips in the area for fall, winter, spring, and summer activities.
  • Taught single-session classes such as snowboarding and cross-country skiing for beginners, as well as backcountry cooking and climbing technique workshops.
  • Built personal relationships with students to promote positive experiences that included everyone and focused on safety, outdoor education, and enjoyment.
  • Prepared for every trip with a risk management plan that included emergency evacuation protocol as well as accounted for health history and concerns of all individuals on the trip.
  • Rendered First Aid for injuries sustained within groups, most commonly blisters, contact/local allergies to bites, stings, and poison ivy, as well as exposure-related trauma.
