Supervisory Responsibilities

• Monitor follow-ups and corrective action resulting from all corporate and plant environmental, health and safety audits.
• Deploy corporate safety programs. Manage and update all plant-specific safety programs.
• Conduct incident investigations utilizing detailed root cause analysis and incident reporting.
• Execute the required security protocols for the site

Operations

• Ensure facility conformance with all applicable federal, state, local and enterprise environmental, health and safety laws, regulations, policies and guidelines as well as maintaining appropriate documentation.
• Ensure that all employee training is completed, documented and maintained.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for at the plant/site.
• Provide EHS training to all new employees as part of our onboarding program.
• Champion employee involvement with plant/site safety committees to identify and address safety and environmental concerns.
• Develop Job Safety Analysis' (JSA's).
• Conduct plant safety audits, and drive corrective actions for non-compliance.
• Develop and maintain relevant plant safety metrics and report to organization on regular intervals.
• Administer plant security programs and protocols.
• Noise exposure and audiometric management.
• Control of hazardous energy

Safety

• Ensures compliance with the EHS Policy and applicable regulatory and company EHS rules and requirements.
• Prompt reporting of any unsafe conditions, practices, or environmental concerns to supervision. Resolving potential hazards swiftly, thereby ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.
• Present scheduled EHS trainings.
• Actively assist the organization in achieving or surpassing EHS goals. Identify areas for improvement in EHS practices and recommend enhancements to contribute to our commitment to a safe work environment.
• Demonstrates safe work habits by adhering to general safety procedures, including correct techniques for lifting and bending, maintaining proper ergonomics, using equipment correctly, and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Ensures that all fall protection procedures are strictly adhered to including but not limited to the use of harness, platform ladders, railing, lifts
• Ensures strict adherence to all safety procedures, including the enforcement and discipline related to Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO) procedures.
• Oversee the Emergency response program, security program, fire protection assets and inspections.

• Attend staff and professional meetings when requested
• Collaborate with any department post incident for effective hazard control methods
• Schedule, plan and conduct required workplace safety audits
• Lead safety presentations to management and employee groups when required
• Act as direct point of contact for Regulatory visits and/or 3rd party audits
• Train powered industrial lift and aerial lift safety courses
• Ongoing development of safety knowledge by research and self-continuous improvement
• Always lead by strictly following all company policies and safety and food safety procedures
• Adjust schedule as necessary for any safety related activities
• Assist the HR Department in any ongoing investigatory needs related to safety
• Assist the Risk Manager when necessary for follow up items related to safety
• Assist the Security Officers when necessary for follow up items related to the

• Schedule staff and professional meetings via Zoom when required

• Ensure that federal, state and local news, regulations, rules and codes are observed
• Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace, conduct and coordinate on-site inspections to assess physical conditions and safe work practices
• Assist with the development of controls for identified hazards, coordinate the implementation of controls from result of hazard analysis. Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the hazard control systems, policies, and procedures and recommend changes that reflect improvement toward elimination of work place accidents and injuries
• Conduct OSHA training for new and existing employees
• Coordinate OSHA recordkeeping and reporting requirements
• Compile, analyze, interpret, and report accidents. Review property and injury reports

Assist as necessary with the administration of workers' compensation program
