• Supervises the Water Meter Shop, schedules, prioritizes, and coordinates the work of employees engaged in the day-to-day activities of the used coordination and planning skills to achieve results according to schedule.

• Analyzes and solves water meter, back-flow prevention devices, and fire services related problems, such as dealing with customer service calls and field checks.

• Writes field notes, office reports, and technician records to document service and inventory for future repairs, testing, rebuilds and customer inquiries

• Deals courteously and professionally with customers and those contacted in the course of work to respond to complaints and service requests

• Supervises helpers and assists in the training of new personnel.

• Act as the Water Meter & Service Supervisor in the absence of higher authority, as delegated. 

• Performs other related duties as assigned

• Independently, with general supervision, or as a member of a crew, performs skilled work in the construction, maintenance and operation of water, recycled water, and sewer systems
• Acts as a trouble-shooter, answering complaints and service requests, finding leaks or stoppages in lines, and correcting these conditions

• Supervises helpers and assists in the training of new personnel.

• Performs basic grounds maintenance duties, including operating trucks, power mowers, edgers, trimmers, trenchers, power vacuums, spray equipment, rototillers, air compressors and pneumatic tools, sod cutters, aerators, floor maintenance machines, chain saws, brush chippers, fork-lifts, and related equipment
