• UTAA is a community service-based organization that visits children in local hospitals dressed as the Avengers to help boost their morale and bring a smile to their faces. In addition to our hospital visits, we visit children in local schools and host and participate in other various service and fundraising events. This organization is geared towards Pre-Health professionals and Nursing majors, but is open to all majors. UTAA provides an extraordinary opportunity for students to give back to the Toledo community.

Participating in a student exchange program was a transformative experience that profoundly enhanced my personal and academic growth. The program provided an unparalleled opportunity to gain cultural awareness and a global perspective by being immersed in a foreign environment, fostering a deep desire to understand different cultures and traditions. This immersion helped me cultivate independence, adaptability, and strong problem-solving skills. The program also exposed me to a different educational system and teaching methods, this provided a fresh perspective in comparison to traditional American classrooms. Moreover, the experience of forming connections and friendships with people from around the world has created a lifelong treasure trove of unique memories.
