I have a strong love for diversity and culture. In 2013, I went to South Korea (with other future teachers) to observe teaching techniques at schools in another country. We were immersed in their culture, learning many things about the people, land, food, religion, art, history, and their way of life.

I believe in having connections through our community. I have volunteered as a scout leader, serving as a den leader (1st graders) and Pack leader (entire group of boys 1st - 5th grade). I have taught Sunday School, as well as serving as a teen leader (7th - 12th graders).
