Summary

Working with coworkers at Bayside skillet I learned how to corroborate with people of all sorts of backgrounds. The town in which the restaurant is located brings many foreigners in to work during the summers. I worked side by side with a girl from Thailand this summer, whose origin at first made it hard to communicate. Soon after we became good friends. I can adapt and change how I do things to allow it to become easier for another person, especially if that person is in an unfamiliar environment.

Running

I began running during my freshman year of high school after my soccer season ended. I did indoor track, in which I ran distance as a small 5'4, 100-pound, kid. I was about to begin my freshman season of the outdoor track when quarantine struck the country and I had to say goodbye to that opportunity. However, I did not let that roadblock take away my newfound passion, I ran frequently throughout quarantine and also grew about half a foot. Running became a safe place for me to think and reflect at any time of day. I am now the most decorated athlete, in terms of athletic awards, in my school's running history.
