I am a high-achieving student athlete who is interested in attending Monmouth College and becoming a strong asset to your basketball program. I have been playing varsity basketball for four years and AAU basketball for five years with the Illinois Bears Organization.
As part of my college experience, I would definitely like to play basketball at the intercollegiate level. My education goal for college is to obtain a solid education so that I can pursue further education within the criminal justice or education landscape. I also plan to work hard to maximize my talents on the court playing basketball, and I would be a definite asset to your team. Last season, as a junior, I averaged 18.4 points per game and made the All Conference team. While playing with the Illinois Bears, I worked on my jump shot and my foot work. My skills are solid, and I have the drive and dedication to continue training hard to become an even better athlete.
My cumulative GPA is currently a 3.7. For the past four years, I have been a member of Wesclin's Mighty Mentors. Through this program, I am able to give back to the younger generation. I meet once a week with a student at the grade-school level to discuss topics of their choice, build their confidence, build a relationship of trust, etc. I have also volunteered within the Special Olympics organization for the past six years. I have assisted with coaching, setting up for football and basketball events, and other volunteer work within the organization. Along with Special Olympics, I volunteer with our community's Little Warriors Basketball organization.
