  • Meticulously maintained a detailed record for all 125 Sailors, containing their private personal information, overall progress, and disciplinary actions, allowing for assessments of their progress.
  • Classes led by myself had a 10% higher overall GPA than average, due to my ability in fostering an engaging environment that the Sailors wanted to work in.

Nuclear Power Senior Instructor

  • Instructed an 8-week course that taught basic nuclear instruments and detectors, power electronics and troubleshooting, nuclear maintenance procedures, fiber optic and coaxial cable construction, and various circuit card construction and operations.

  • Supervised a watch team of 10 personnel during critical reactor operations, maintenance, casualty drills, and shutdown reactor operations. Served as a direct liaison with shipyard personnel during nuclear test procedures.
  • Led my watch team during 7 consecutive casualties following explosions off the side of the ship during Full-Ships Shock Trials Testing. I ensured personnel and reactor safety throughout the reactor plant casualties by remaining calm under the immense stress and by having a high level of knowledge of plant operations.
  • As a member of the Propulsion Plant Drill Team, I trained the future nuclear operators by safely performing over 200 reactor casualty drills and directly supervised 134 nuclear reactor fast recovery startups.

  • Performed and/or supervised over 300 maintenance items necessary to maintain reactor safety, including numerous circuit card troubleshooting events and subsequent replacements, prime standard alignments, ABT transfer tests, trip point and calibration checks, and voltage and current measurements.
