 The project involves designing a cloud solution for a fictional company called GoGreen Insurance Company, using AWS. The project requires the analysis of customer needs, the translation of those needs into a technical solution, and the creation of an architecture diagram of the proposed solution. The solution design is implemented in a lab environment, and the results are presented to the class. The project is completed over three sprints using Agile methodology, with the solution written as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform, and code stored in GitHub. The customer requirements include infrastructure management, encryption, secured access, scalability, storage, and recovery point objectives. The completed project showcases my ability to apply architectural design principles to deploy a PHP application on an Amazon EC2 instance, create and secure a MySQL database, update application parameters in AWS Systems Manager Parameter Store, and secure the application to prevent public access to backend systems. The project also included providing high availability to the website through a load balancer and enabling automatic scaling that uses a launch template. The solution was illustrated through a diagram and a written summary of design decisions made was submitted. The demonstrated skills and experience can be leveraged in a professional context related to web development, cloud computing, or software engineering. This was a final competition project that was required to be successfully completed and deployed in order to graduate from Ziyotek Institute of Technology, we have completed this project in teams and my team have successfully presented first and received a first place among other teams.
