• Supervise inmates in General Housing Units along with those stipulated to segregation for administrative and punitive measures
• Monitor inmates behaviors to prevent illegal activities that go against New York Crimes Codes along with the institutional policies, prevent escape attempts, prevent gang activity
• Implement defensive tactics which include physical restraints to maintain safety and order
• Prevent contraband from entering the institution by conducting random searches of both visitors, inmates, cells and rooms within the facility
• Conducting multiple daily institutional inmate counts to ensure that all inmates are accounted for and in their assigned housing areas or assigned work area
• Conducting a periodic patrol of inside and outside perimeter of the institution to ensure no structural modifications have been made that would assist an inmate in escaping or comprise the safety of the the inmates or employees
• Review the historic video for past altercations and activities that would pose a threat to the safety of the staff and inmate with the institution
• Review all internal and safety reports compiled from incidents to strategically plan for new threats and to establish new safety protocol.

• Plans schedules and processes eligible passengers and cargo for air movement
• Loads and unloads passengers, cargo and baggage moved on military and commercial contract aircraft
• Prepares and maintains air movement reports and records
• Performs aircraft cleaning services, delivers meals and comfort item supplies to aircraft
• Operated forklifts and aircraft loading equipment
• Uses computer system to provide in-transit visibility over passenger and cargo movement operations
• Supports the Department of Defence’s capability to move passengers and air cargo worldwide
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and controls air transportation activities
• Determines and justifies personnel, equipment and facilities required to accomplish air transportation functions
• Supplements policies, directs personnel and establishes procedures to process, load, document and report passengers and cargo transported by air, including paratroops and cargo moved using delivery methods
• Inspects airlift activities for compliance and recommends corrective action

• Determines quantity and type of cargo to be loaded according to aircraft allowable cabin load
• Selects, assembles, palletizes and transports cargo loads to and from aircraft and storage areas
• Check cargo against manifests and annotates shipment shortages, overages or damages
• Secures cargo with appropriate straps.

• Perform daily inspections of all agency vehicles to ensure that they have no physical damage and to ensure they can be operated safely
• If vehicles are deemed unsafe they are scheduled for maintenance
• Verify the identity of clients/visitors by requesting identification prior to allowing them admission into the facility
• Guarded the entry point which included searches of clients along with their property as well as operating the X-ray machine to ensure they possessed no contraband
• Detained clients that have violated any New York Criminal Crimes Code and coordinate with New York Police Department to take them into custody so they could be transported to jail for processing
• Supervised the distribution of medication to ensure that the client took the medication and did not attempt mismanage it by cheeking it to sell
• Ensured that the client was safe in the facility by removing violent or intoxicated individuals, reporting all building safety violations which include exposed wiring, inappropriate storage of chemicals, wet floors, improper storage of food and any infectsatons of insects or vermin
• Conducted nightly room/bed checks to ensure the client was in their assigned space
• Conducted hourly facility check to ensure that the clients were not in restricted areas
• Investigated allegations of harassment and theft.

• Pursued offenders and assisted Human Resources Police Officers with investigations and arrests of clients
• Requested medical assistance when a client presented the need for medical intervention
• Coordinated with New York Police Department with apprehending clients that needed to be physically removed from the premises for disrupting operations, verbally or physically assaulting staff, being under the influence of an intoxicant or violating the New York Crimes Code
• Conducted periodic inspections of the building to ensure that all entrances were properly secured, operable and the building had no visible signs of damage caused by an attempted break in
• Ensured that all safety policies and procedures were being implemented at all times to prevent any physical harm coming to the client or staff
• Observed the areas where clients utilized for abnormal behaviors
• Diffused verbal confrontations by addressing the need of client and coming up with a solution that is in the best interest of all involved parties.
