Looking for a position that is fast paced and involves constant interaction with customers. Working in a high workload scenario while also needing to multitask is where I thrive. No matter the position, I am always dedicated to serving the customer in a timely manner and supporting my peers where I can.
I am currently employed as an Emergency Services Dispatcher with Kings County Sheriff’s department. These duties entail handling 911 or non emergency calls from the public, dispatching the fire department to calls for service, and dispatching Sheriff’s deputies to calls for service. Outside of dispatching fire and law enforcement to calls for service, it also involves handling requests from the field units. This means starting other public resources to their location, running subjects for warrants through local and national databases, and/or sending additional medical help. Dispatch is handled on a computer using CAD, or computer aided dispatch in order to enter calls for service or even look up records involving individuals or cases. This involves using 3-4 screens to be able to utilize all functions at once or whenever it's needed.

My job is handled using CAD, or computer aided dispatch in order to enter calls for service or even look up records involving individuals or cases. Latly, as a dispatch training officer, the duties involved training new hires in how to take calls for service independently and accurately through on the floor training. I also trained them through "role play" practice to ensure they could work through any scenario they could experience from callers that they may not have gotten as real life calls for service while training with me.
This role entailed working in the call center to answer customer service related calls from patients that used the Dexcom "CGM" (continuous glucose monitor) or had a child/loved one that used the CGM. It was required to handle the calls in a timely manner while also making sure customer satisfaction was maintained. Whenever other departments weren't in office on the weekend shifts, the job then included handling insurance claims/submissions. We needed to ensure that correct paperwork was submitted for authorizations to insurance companies, or that necessary paperwork was sent to the customer so that it could be completed for documentation.
