Around October of 2020, I discovered an inmate had suffered a cardiac arrest as I had just started my shift. I put out an emergency call using a portable radio and started conducting lifesaving CPR. After several rotations of CPR with fellow staff members, the inmate regained consciousness and survived the ordeal. I received the Life Saving Medal with several other staff members.
