  • January 1991during the civil war with Somalia I was part of the task force to evacuate over 200 foreigners and families that were airlifted to the USS Guam and USS Trenton amphibious ships off the coast of Somalia. My duties and task was to be the host for our guest while aboard the USS Trenton and to ensure of their health, welfare and safety while transporting them out of harm’s way.
