Work History

Operations Manager / Program Director, 99KG

Eagle Communications
Salina, USA
12.2013 - Current
  • Designed and executed a winning station format that built 99KG into a true “sound and feel,” not just a playlist—rising from 17th in the market to #1 in under a year and holding that position 11 consecutive years, a first for any rated Kansas market.
  • Oversaw all programming and content: music rotation, on-air personalities, imaging, promotions, contests, and audience engagement.
  • Consistently analyzing Nielsen data to identify listener trends, maximize time spent listening, and adjust strategy to grow both Cume and AQH in target demos.
  • Directed and coached on-air staff, keeping station sound consistent, compelling, and ratings-driven.
  • Spearheaded promotions that became community staples: Toy-A-Thon – over 75,000 toys collected for 100+ agencies with help from Salina PD and Sheriff’s Dept., Dad for a Day – annual event since 2003, giving kids without father figures a full day of experiences at Arrowhead, Kauffman, Great Wolf Lodge, and with artists like Big & Rich, Soccer Fest – 500+ kids annually with jerseys, coaching, and college athletes as referees, Bounce Bash for Charity – 2,000+ attendees, dozens of inflatables, food vendors, and summer fun for the community.
  • Other initiatives: Frosty 5K, Glow Run, Smiles for Mya Color Run, Swabs for Calvin (2,500 swabs led to a bone marrow match).
  • Built and executed national promotions with sponsors: Ozark Mountain Christmas trips, Kenny Chesney meet & greet in Denver, Carrie Underwood flyaway in Chicago, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC, and more.
  • On-air daily (2–6 PM), delivering compelling content crafted to make listeners feel like they can’t miss out, not just “friend-chat.”
  • Partnered with sales to translate ratings into revenue, creating integrated campaigns, sponsorships, and branded content. Known for personally helping close or save deals.
  • Led growth of PRIME FM, from a 0.2 share to 4.6—one of the highest-rated 250-watt stations in a rated market outside Austin, TX.
  • Production voice for local clients and endorsements.
  • Serve on Crimestoppers Board of Directors (7 years).
