As a Crisis Care Consultant I utilized a high level of clinical knowledge and skill while providing brief clinical screenings, risk assessments, crisis intervention and appropriate service linkage for those individuals who are experiencing an acute mental health crisis. I routinely assessed and determined the level of risk associated with each contact, provided clinically appropriate interventions to help the individual resolve the crisis in the least restrictive manner possible. I was a part of the high risk follow up team that provided calls to people who were seen by our mobile crisis team to check on their current well being and ensure linkage to services and provide support while someone is at higher risk of suicide. Each interaction was documented in electronic medical records per defined by policy and procedures. As a member of leadership I also participated in onboarding for new hires and interns and served as an advisor to Crisis Care Consultants in need of mentoring as well as administrative guidance.
I worked closely with clients to develop treatment plans that were specifically targeted to the client's needs. This involves a thorough assessment of the client's psychosocial triggers, strengths, and personal needs. I would assist clients in connecting to resources that improved the quality of their lives and help them live independently. Routine activities and responsibilities in the job are:
