While assigned to both the Limon Correctional Facility (LCF) and Colorado State Penitentiary (CSP), I've had the opportunity to expand and hone my skills and capabilities in both housing and security operations. The diverse and often challenging offender population at LCF and CSP has allowed me to further develop my ability to communicate and build constructive relationships with both staff and offenders while remaining focused on security and professionalism.

• Ensure staff compliance with Department policies, procedures and operational practices
• Conduct and document Safety, Fire and Health Inspections
• Facilitate team meetings with Lieutenants and Captains
• Ensure Facility Operations run efficiently and effectively
• Monitor Movement and Behavior of the offender population
• Direct and Respond to First Responder calls such as assaults, fights, fires, escapes, etc.
• Recommend assignments for Officers to further their knowledge and experience
• Train and guide staff on proper use of controlled items, keys, tools, chemicals and equipment
• Enforce security procedures by conducting on-site searches, count, controlling contraband, cell and pat searches, transportations and shakedowns

• Regularly manage the Fox Pod housing unit as a shift lead, supervising staff and delegating tasks to ensure successful completion of daily operations

• Escorted offenders from living units to medical appointments and assisted medical staff in conducting Medline by ensuring the consistent flow of offenders through the Medline process and making sure the medication was properly taken and the area was safe and secure
• Maintained control of the yard by supervising facility operations with consistent, effective communication and delegations of tasks with my team to ensure successful completion of daily operations while having a positive interaction with other correctional series staff resulting in strengthened teams.
• Routinely checked the doors and fences on the outside of the facility for safety and security
• Manned the towers inside and outside of the Facility monitoring movement of the yard and outside the facility.
