The Training Director of the Rome Police Department is tasked with creating and presenting in-service training and organizing outside trainings to include travel and lodging. They maintain all training records and work with first line supervisors to identify training needs for the department and individual officers. They also serve as the department's Field Training Program Coordinator, Mohawk Valley Police Academy Representative, Civilian Police Academy Director, Public Information Officer, Mental Health Services Liaison, and Assistant Quarter Master.
