As a Lead Aerospace Quality Inspector, I am responsible for ensuring that all tooling, components, and associated documentation meet stringent customer requirements, internal quality standards, and aerospace regulatory compliance—particularly for programs supporting Boeing.
Core Responsibilities
1. Inspection & Verification
Perform and oversee dimensional inspections of tooling and components using precision measuring equipment.
Verify compliance to engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications.
Ensure all characteristics meet tolerance requirements prior to customer review or shipment.
Validate tool readiness for buy-off and customer acceptance.
2. Quality Documentation Management
Prepare, review, and finalize Tool Inspection Reports (TIRs), inspection plans, and check sheets.
Ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate, including:
Material certifications
Proof load certifications
Assembly Certificates of Conformance (CoCs)
Maintain organized and compliant QA packages aligned with customer and AS9100 requirements.
3. Customer Compliance
Ensure all deliverables meet specific requirements, including drawing notes, specifications, and documentation standards.
Interpret and apply aerospace standards such as:
AS9100 Quality Management System requirements
Customer-specific clauses and purchase order requirements
Act as a key point of contact during customer inspections and buy-off events.
4. Nonconformance & Corrective Action
Identify, document, and manage Nonconformance Reports (NCRs).
