• Projects included an inventory control system, an online survey, and an online personality evaluation
• The Inventory Control System was programmed in ASP, using VBScript
• The database back end for this system was Oracle 8i, which was accessed through code using ADO in the COM layer, which was written in Visual Basic 6.0
• The system was secured, with user name and password authentication
• The Online Survey was programmed in ASP, using VBScript
• The database back end for the Survey was SQL Server 7.0
• These surveys allowed the client to record and modify the survey through an administration screen
• The survey was to be viewed over 30+ websites and to be able to keep track of what site the survey was taken on.

• To program and maintain customized applications to support the business using Transact-SQL, SQL Server, APPX, Crystal Reports 7.0, and Great Plains C/S+ Payroll System
• My primary responsibility was the conversion of the payroll system from a UNIX based system, APPX, to the windows based system, Great Plains
• The Payroll System Conversion was the only project I worked on at Riggs
• The legacy system was an APPX system that needed to be moved to Great Plains C/S+
• The Great Plains system was sitting on a SQL Server Database and APPX was on a UNIX Server
• Since all data for payroll was going to be entered into the APPX system before being moved to Great Plains, we had to get the two databases working in unison before the system was rolled out
• Also, because payroll is vital, we ran parallel for almost a year before going live.
