  • This involves migrating 57 Safeway J2EE applications running on IBM WebSphere to the Oracle WebLogic Application Server
  • The project scope also includes migrating the 17 UDB/Informix databases in identified Safeway applications to the new Oracle 11g DB
  • As offshore project manager, my responsibilities include: Complete ownership of migration plan and schedule that falls under UST project scope including estimating, planning and defining the migration roadmap till production cutover
  • Maintaining communication plan for entire project stakeholders - onsite, offshore and client
  • Closely monitoring the project scope to alert the stakeholders on any possible scope creep and handles all changes through approved change orders
  • Planning the UST budget (close to $2.9M) and managing it from presentation to the client for approval, appropriate change tracking till utilization and thereby ensuring efficient GPM (>= planned; > 10% till date)
  • Effectively identifying and mitigating key risks and timely resolution of issues those impede the project progress to ensure smooth execution of the project
