Provides essential support to nursing and medical staff in the GI lab, focusing on preparing procedure rooms, handling equipment, cleaning/disinfecting endoscopes, and assisting with patient care. The role involves setting up, calibrating, and troubleshooting equipment, as well as handling specimens.

• An Endoscopy Technician performs technical responsibilities relative to treatment and care of the Endoscopy patient with the instrumentation utilized in that treatment. Monitors PAR levels of all instrumentation and supplies. The Endoscopy Technician prepares, assembles, and organizes the work environment, equipment and supplies necessary to perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures. Participates in staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Skills required include sterile and clean procedural technique, GI scope setup and take down, procedure room turn around, scope processing, assisting physician and nurse during procedures, and basic computer skills. Good interpersonal and customer skills a must. (will train qualified candidates) The position is Monday through Friday, no weekends, holidays, or on-call are required.
