-Helped translate patient-provider interactions from English to Spanish for 20 patients.

-Transcribed medical histories in Spanish on paper charts.

- Dispensed medications for adult patients.

- Assist in classroom training and clinical training of new scribes in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics and gynecology.

-Create, publish, and manage the schedules for scribes in 3 community health clinics in Southern San Diego.

-Assist my scribe supervisor in performing recruitment activities which include screening/interviewing applicants and keeping in communication Scribe Upper Management when there is a hiring need.

-Attend Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and other site-specific staff meetings.

- Volunteered at a sports physical event through my San Ysidro Health organization at Morse High School in Southeast San Diego, a community with a significant African-American population.

- In charge of checking 80 students in and ensured accurate documentation of their initial intake forms.

- This experience inspired me to advocate for health policies that address the evolving healthcare needs of communities as many families are unable to schedule routine physical exam appointments with their primary care physician before the start of their season due to long-wait times or lack of insurance.

-Transcribed patient histories and physical examinations in a live patient-physician encounters.

-Ordered lab tests, diagnostic tests, radiology tests, and referrals as directed by the physician as well as documented any procedures performed by the clinician.

- Listed proper diagnoses as well as any follow-up instructions and prescription as dictated by the clinician.

- Scribe experience in pediatrics, family medicine, internal medicine, and obstetrics and gynecology in 2 electronic medical record platforms: NextGen and EPIC.

-Assisted and shadowed nurses, CNAs, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and anesthesiologists in an inpatient care setting.

- Took vital signs and cardiac monitoring, assisted with patient discharges and ambulation, provided personal care such as bed baths, oral care, and bed panning.

- Managed feeding and repositioning of patients.

Emptied foley catheters and performed range of motion (ROM) exercises for patients.

-Extensive patient care experience in the acute surgical care unit, trauma ICU, PACU, pulmonary progressive care unit, and cardiology.

- Led team-building group activities for 2nd and 3rd graders on Sunday mornings and for 11th-grade girls on Friday evenings.

-Facilitated Bible study sessions with reflective questions for the young adult ministry on Thursday evenings.

-Learned the value of educating youth on topics related to their spiritual development and fostering an environment where children felt open to share their experiences.

- Four other committee members and I brainstormed ways to provide a safer, educated, and more inclusive Athletic Department program culture at UCSD, especially amidst the scholar athletes' call to increase anti-racism education as well as the desire of the Athletics department to address racism and reinforce inclusion for all.

- Organized meetings and discussions about the experiences that we and our teammates faced in and outside athletics.

-Organized meetings within my own teams to discuss ways to improve inclusive behavior and appreciation of different cultures.
