I was nominated as the best employee of the month last year by one of the staff that was not even part of  my department. I am the weekend RN supervisor at our facility and with that being said I am the only manager at the time  managing the whole facility.  This staff nominated  because despite the fact that our facility is a fast pace facility I  was able to provide patient and staff needs with a smile. I was unaware of the nomination and voting that happened, but I was so surprised when I was called for the monthly staffing meeting and the ED was reading the reasons why this staff was nominated I was in  an Awe because when they announced who it was I did not expect it to be me.
