  • Expanding upon projects initially worked on as an ORISE Fellow at FDA, but now as a part of the NCATS CURE ID team
  • Participated in the Advancing Innovations through Mentorship (AIM) program receiving business insight and perspective to conduct a qualitative research study interviewing various types of stakeholders along the translational pathway of drug repurposing
  • Collaborating with the Natural History Studies (NHS) team on their AI and LLM projects currently testing and training a tool for data extraction from natural history studies in collaboration with the Chan Zuckerburg Initiative (CZI)
  • Building a relationship between the CURE ID team and the Systems Medicine MD/MS program at Georgetown University for internships on various pieces of the project

  • Organized a year long successful campaign against the GW administration titled GW Protects Rapists for its failures in supporting survivors, which led to policy and staff changes

  • Collaborated with House Committee on Energy and Commerce to create materials advocating for 21st Century Cures including organizing cyber rallies using #CURESNow for patient engagement.
  • Founded Sick Chicks, an organization dedicated to uniting and empowering women with various illnesses and disabilities. Facilitate in-person and virtual events, moderate virtual support groups, delegate to leaders who run local chapters, and edit writing submissions for spotlight stories.
  • Organized a Sisterhood and Sexuality Summit (2018) through Sick Chicks with panels on reproductive care and healthy relationships including Instagram influencer Caleigh Haber-Takayama (@fight2breathe) and award winning genetic counselor Margaret Au of Cedars-Sinai Hospital. Had 60 attendees present.
