My passion is investigating and promoting health at the intersection of psychological, emotional, and physical wellbeing. Building individual relationships and creating team environments in which every member feels supported and is able to grow their confidence and efficacy is my goal in any position that I occupy.
My undergraduate research took a qualitative approach to collecting data regarding trauma-informed sport coaching at the collegiate level in order to assess both the assets and deficits in current coaching practices across colleges in the United States. Qualitative data collection was essential in this endeavor in order to ensure that the nuances of individual experience could be recorded.
My current work as a cafe manager allows me to interact with the community and form long-lasting relationships while teaching baristas both foodservice and life skills. I love making a customer's day by going above and beyond as well as seeing my employees grow into confident people both behind and in front of the espresso bar.
Completion of 2 week management and facilitation training. Oversaw a team of 10 employees and up to 40 participants throughout their residential experience during the Smith Summer Engineering and Science as well as College Readiness programs.
Managed a small team of approximately 12 employees, oversaw all training of new employees and assisted in hiring procedures. Advised in inventory purchasing and monitored sales trends as well as ensuring quality of service and products.
Recruited and trained new DJs for Smith College Radio as well as kept track of their logging and adherence to FCC regulations. Supervised a team of between 70-85 DJs and made sure that they were confident and successful in operating their individual shows.
Oversaw inventory management, vault and floor merchandise security, and ensured quality of service. Trained employees in and upheld Cannabis Control Commission guidelines as well as ensuring product quality and knowledge of all scientific and medical information related to merchandise.
Maintained quality of products and service while producing beverages, food preparation, and interfacing with a full service kitchen. Built relationships with local residents, artists, and activists to build community both within and outside of the cafe.
