Front Desk Receptionist
7 Months- I worked as the front desk at the Hampton Inn in Provo, Utah. Greeting guests and getting them all settled in. I would check people in and out of their rooms, and take care of any of their needs during their stay. Worked AM, PM, and graveyards as well.
Cashier
1 Year 7 Months- I was a retail specialist, a cashier preparing doughnuts and then checking them out to customers. With a long time of being there I have become very well trained as a cashier. As well as the normal cleaning required with everything we use. It was a very fast paced job especially when it got busy. I have learned how to work under pressure while still working at a fast pace while keeping customers satisfied.
2 Months
- While working for APS I did 12 hour shifts overnight at different sites ranging from Provo to Salt Lake City. I did hourly checks around the sites to check for unwanted or suspicious activity. Most of the sites I did were construction sites that I would watch over to make sure no vandalism was being done and that no one was trespassing or stealing any materials/equipment. It was my first job that had shifts that long, especially during the night, so I definitely had learned to keep myself awake and in the moment. It was definitely at a slower pace than jobs I have had in the past but it has been more on the important side. I really had to add more seriousness to my character for this job, especially when it came to confronting trespassers.
2 Months
- At Fat Cats here in Provo I was in charge of Virtual Reality. So if anyone wanted to play on our VR sets then I would set them up and help them along the way, while playing and would make sure it was running correctly. Or when no one was doing VR I would help at the front desk to help give out shoes for bowling, making food, cleaning, helping with any issues while people were bowling, and just making sure people were having a good time! Recently I was able to go back and be at the main register and help people with basically everything possible at the bowling alley.
2 Months
- As a custodian at BYU I worked in the football stadium and basketball arena. So I have good cleaning experience and learned many new things very quickly, from new cleaning tips to operating machines. I also became very good at helping others around me, whether it was a coworker or somebody asking for directions or telling me something was wrong. And became very reliable if any job needed to be done, they knew they could ask me.
2 Months
- At Roll With It I had to learn how to roll ice cream while the customers would watch. I had to learn this skill very quickly, while being friendly to the customers. While keeping areas and work space clean. Keeping food items stocked at all times, while fulfilling cashier responsibilities.
