Hello my name is Simon De Freitas a University of Nevada junior pursuing a Business Management Major and a Hr minor. I know I am uniquely qualified for this internship with DSES with my experience with Vail resorts working at North Star California as well as my two previous leadership roles i have had with the University of Nevada. My time working at North Star as a snow board instructor this winter has improved my communication skills through teaching as well as giving me into the insight of how a ski area works and operates. My two jobs in which I was in a leadership role at the University was my involvement with being a Nevada fit mentor and being a Asun Event Programmer. Being a Nevada fit mentor entails leading a group of incoming freshmen into the university of Nevada through Nevada fit a one credit course that is designed to ease new students into college life. My time in student government gave me event planning skills for large events and coordinating with multiple in house departments of the University as well as with outside vendors. I also gained invaluable commendation skills from the rigorous process to get every aspect of a University sanctioned event requires. Thank you for your time
