- My project analyzes the brains of control mice and those of stress mice. The stress mice were exposed to chronic stress specifically 5 different stressors for 14 days. Both groups of mice were injected with a virus that shows fluorescence. Under the microscope, I am able to see the injection site and I am looking for neurons that have left the amygdala. This should be apparent in the stress mice and minimal in the control mice. I am then able to mark the locations of where the neurons have traveled.
