Soham Parikh

Dedicated and responsible high school graduate with demonstrated skills in cooperating/talking to others in an efficient manner and has an attitude to do given tasks accurately even if they're strenuous. Adept at being tranquil and bold when faced with new circumstances and is inquisitive for new medical knowledge that will guide the path for a future, dreamed career to be a doctor (physician).

• Achieved a good academic record across most of high school with mostly A's in every class for most of the academic quarters. *(Note: Senior year went wrong with low grades due to a personal problem consisting of chronic depression, unspecified anxiety disorder, etc. and stays at hospitals).
• Studied to attain a SAT score of 1230
• Passed every AP exam taken

Educational – To Pursue a medical degree for my medical career, specifically a physician. Will take multiple different science courses as backups/for interest as majors/minors in higher education (includes Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, etc.).

Career – To work in a respected hospital or to be a family physician (will work long hours for it). Aiming to grind to higher positions to support more people through medicine.

Extracurricular – To search fir more in clubs/organizations like HOSA to gain experience/knowledge in the medical field. Will volunteer in some hospitals/the Red Cross to help those in need.

• Paramedical Biology Club Member (2019-2020) : -Practiced in performing medical techniques such as the Heimlich maneuver and CPR for future practice. -Volunteered to spread info/sign up students for blood donations for the Red Cross at school. -Assisted those donating blood by providing water and snacks afterwards. -Provided T-shirts to those that supported the blood drive at school.
• HOSA Member (2021-2023): -Participated in the medical assisting HOSA competitions to represent the school and gained valuable knowledge. -Spread science knowledge to little kids at the school Science-Con by spreading info on easy to understand science topics such as DNA by conducting a group experiment on strawberry DNA. Assisted in making a poster for the topic

Volunteered to be a Utsav festival speaker at a religious community at Shrinathdam Haveli in Gaithersburg, MD:

Spoke boldly at the Utsav as activities, presentations, etc. started. Announced the names of the people who made the Utsav possible, announcing certain skits/dances/breaks (asked questions to entertain audience during them)/discussions, etc.

Participated in a dance and skit while keeping composure.
