Being a nurse has always been a dream of mine. My passion for nursing comes from my mother, who initially worked towards a nursing career before putting it on hold to begin a family. From a young age, I knew I wanted to follow that path, and my mother has been a constant source of support. I have seven years of experience working with children, beginning when I started babysitting at 13. Over the years, I’ve developed a solid ability to care for children of all ages, from infants as young as two weeks to families with up to six children. The hands-on experience I gained from my experience with children has shaped my deep understanding of children’s needs, emotional support, and how to manage challenging situations with empathy and patience. My passion for caregiving, particularly for children, makes me an ideal candidate for a pediatric nursing role. I am naturally calm under pressure, nurturing, and possess excellent communication skills. My personal drive to make a meaningful impact on children’s lives, especially those facing serious illness, aligns with my career goal of specializing in pediatric oncology. I am pursuing my bachelor in science of nursing at Herzing University, with an expected graduation in December 2025. I plan to continue my education to become a pediatric nurse practitioner in the near future. My commitment to children’s health, foundation of experience with children, and dedication to advancing my skills make me an excellent fit for this role.
