Accomplishments

Bharatanatyam is one of the seven classical dance forms in India. I have had the pleasure of learning this sacred art form since the age of five years old. I continued dancing all throughout my childhood and teenage years. When I was 15, I began to train for my Arangetram (first full-length solo recital) in which I learned 10 new dances over the course of eight months. I learned the new dances and gave my Arangetram, which consisted of me dancing with a live group of classically trained musicians and performed for three hours in front of an audience. After completion of this performance I was given an award from my dance school as a recognition for reaching such an auspicious milestone in my dancing journey.
