Jury room
Preform a number of clerical and at times complex tasks, while serving the public. Primarily, provide assistance to off-site jury administration, by assisting potential jurors. My tasks include but are not limited to: greeting and checking in potential jurors and members of the public, issuing and reviewing questionnaires, determining qualifications for jurors to advance to courtrooms, order panels for trials, WEJ, assign cases to departments in WEJ, build and maintain positive rapport with courtroom bailiffs and Sheriff's Court Services to continuously communicate status of jury panels, input and verify attendance, request issue jury duty payments, process subpoena records, regularly run destruction reports, assist with exhibits tasks, such as routing originals and copies of exhibits Per the request of Appeals, print weekly interpreter claim forms and scan to Interpreter Services. Assist with phones, providing general information to customers during constant interruptions, while continuing to provide efficient and accurate productivity, and superb customer service. Intaking mail and deliveries, opening and routing mail as needed. Also help in collaborating in special projects and courthouse events such as assisting in the criminal department process relinquishment's received from Probation, Jury Appreciation Week, and Law Day.
Family Law
Help process orders and Judgments out of court, as well as provide Document Control tasks
Traffic and Criminal
Enter citations, direct files from The DA's Office, cite releases, copy requests, process payments set up payment plans, process transfer in cases and transfer out cases.
Family Law
Document Control: provide customer service pulling files, providing forms and packets per customer request, process payments for copies and forms.
Calendar Desk: prepare the calendar for Family Law, Child Support and Guardianship, verifying documents filed prior to court date are in the file for the Judge to review.
Juvenile Delinquency
Process petitions in and out of custody, transfer in cases and transfer out, process bench warrants and central collections paperwork including writs, abstracts and waivers
Informal Juvenile Traffic Court
Entered citations, prepared the daily calendar, process payments, issue subpoenas for court trials, complete minute orders, update DMV to reflect court mandated suspension or revisions, Helped in Juvenile Delinquency and Dependency with a scanning project.
Appeals Division
Handle Criminal, Juvenile and Civil Appeals. Process Notice of Appeals in a timely manner, process fees (filing fees and court reporter fees), notify court reporter's to prepare a transcript, certify the record to Court of Appeal.
