Steeve Colas

I work as an activity assistant at a nursing home, where my main role is to create and lead a wide variety of activities designed to engage residents socially, mentally, and physically. I plan and facilitate daily programs like bingo, arts and crafts, trivia games, exercise classes, music therapy, and seasonal events like holiday parties or gardening in the spring. I also organize group discussions and one-on-one visits for residents who may be less mobile or need extra attention. My goal is to provide meaningful activities that improve their quality of life, encourage social interaction, and promote cognitive stimulation. In addition to running activities, I also assist with dining services by helping deliver meals, serving food, and making sure residents are comfortable and cared for during mealtimes. I work closely with nursing staff and family members to ensure each resident’s needs are met, and I try to build personal relationships with them to make their day a little brighter.”
