I am an experienced and dedicated healthcare professional with over 17 years of practical experience in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, dialysis clinics, doctor's offices, and clinical laboratory environments. Throughout my career, I have acquired a strong background in venipuncture techniques, medical office etiquette, and hemodialysis patient care. My expertise encompasses a wide array of responsibilities, including handling phone inquiries, processing specimens, working in hematology-oncology clinics, wellness clinics, allergy and asthma clinics, and serving as a dialysis Patient Care Technician (PCT). In my role as a PCT, I excelled in obtaining vital signs, performing vascular access cannulation, and calculating individual patient dialysis machine programming. I am proficient in managing heavy patient volumes and ensuring accuracy, patient confidentiality, and compliance in all documentation and record maintenance. Additionally, I possess strong customer service skills, particularly in handling difficult venipuncture situations, and providing compassionate care to patients. Recently, I had the privilege of working as a research phlebotomist at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where I had the opportunity to be part of their All of Us Research Program. This experience provided me with in-depth knowledge of federal regulations and allowed me to apply my extensive skills as a seasoned phlebotomist. Furthermore, I actively participated in the Live Health Smart Alabama health initiative, where I had the opportunity to engage with the community and make a positive impact. I am eager to secure a responsible position in a medical staff team where I can leverage my expertise and further develop my skills. My diverse background and extensive experience make me a valuable asset to any healthcare organization.
