Accomplishments

  • Won multiple inter-company "cook-offs" against high-ranking senior chefs, like Chef Daniel Vercher (My food won the competition while I was still a Porter)
  • Supervised different teams ranging from 10 to 22 staff members.
  • Promoted from Porter (2017) to Commis Chef in the same year, to Sous Chef in 2021 (including a year spent on furlough during the Covid pandemic), while earning raises at every semi-annual employee evaluation.
  • Won several local cooking competitions, and want to participate in bigger competitions some day.

Avid Magic: the Gathering player of over 25 years, Dungeon & Dragons DM and player for 20+ years.

I've been obsessed with the gameplay and fantasy art settings of MTG and D&D since I was a small child. The only things I love more are my wife, pets, and metal music (in that order). I've played in hundreds of competitive and casual sanctioned Magic: the Gathering tournaments to date, and have been a Dungeon Master (writing my own campaigns and stories) for 7 different full-length campaigns, ranging from 3 to 7 players between them. 


When I'm not at work, I'm either spending time with my wife and pets just cooking or relaxing, or I'm hanging out with good friends around a table being a gigantic nerd.

Professionally, my interests purely lie in creating the best tasting food I possibly can for my guests I gather knowledge through watching recipe videos, cooking programs, books and cookbooks, among many other forms of media to expand my knowledge and skills


Personally, my own interests lie in experiencing art in all its glory; Music of all kinds and art of all forms Almost every day I'm listening to a new album or artists, finding a new painter to do a deep dive through their portfolio, or digging through the catalogue of a professional food artist's work
