My name is Steven Ramirez Jr., I am a student at Marymount University. I’ve always strived for excellence both in and out of the classroom. Throughout high school, I was on the Academic Honor Roll and graduated with honors. I served as President of the DeMatha Latino Club and was the Varsity Captain of the DeMatha Wrestling Team. I also had the opportunity to participate in the DeMatha Leadership Institute and was proud to be nominated for the Thomas Eastman Scholarship. I’ve continued my academic success at the university level by earning a place on the Dean’s List. In addition to my academic and leadership roles, I’m passionate about serving my community. I’ve assisted with adult ESOL classes at St. Mary of the Mills Catholic Church, volunteered at Martha’s Table Soup Kitchen, volunteered as a referee for sevrel youth wrestling tournaments and helped with kids’ church and parking at Lifehouse Church. Wrestling has been a major part of my life. I competed on DeMatha’s Varsity Wrestling Team, trained with the Headhunters Wrestling Club, and I’m now a proud member of Marymount University’s Wrestling team, where I continue to pursue my passion for the sport.
