Worked for Infosys Ltd from February 2016 to date on the Decommission and Deployment team for one of the leading network service providers in USA for 7 years and 11 months. The project scope is to support the production services of the client. The goal is to provide optimal solutions for managing the network elements that come under multi-vendor platforms. This project supports decommission/augment of network elements to contribute space for new Installs/Turn Ups on various legacy devices of Wiltel, Global crossing, TW telecom, Level3, Broadwing and Progress Telecom. It involves analyzing the pitfalls that could occur in live network due to decommission of network elements that could likely cause an outage. The project demands uninterrupted customer services with very minimal latency and the acknowledged speed. The decommission of the network elements will also involve cleaning up the traffic on the live network with caution not to damage any priority traffic.

Role Description

A telecommunications Engineer who works on Layer1/Layer 2 devices to reconfigure the SONET/DWDM network architecture of the client. Owns an extensive experience in working with multi-vendor transport/IP equipments, MUX/DEMUXes, network testing, Infinera/Huawei/ADVA wave deployments and Root Cause analysis. Provide guidance and support for remote field operations to complete decommission without impacting any potential client services. Skillful in building a successful team from scratch and making sure to exceed all client expectations in meeting the required standards.
