- I was hired by and worked under the direct supervision of Daniel G. Miller, Ph.D., President, CEO and Director of Excorp.
- I also worked directly with Jack Patzer, Ph.D., Principal Investigator and Coordinator of the Bioartificial Liver Program at the Thomas E Starzyl Institute in Pittsburgh.
- I wore many Hats with this company, including the Clinical Research Coordinator, Regulatory Affairs Coordinator with the FDA, and monitored our Phase II/III Human Clinical Research site at the Thomas E Starzl Liver Transplantation Institute at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
- I also oversaw the Porcine Management at the farm and onsite and also delivery of the pigs to the facility in Pittsburgh.
- Excorp Medical was a privately funded start-up company developing a Porcine-based Bio-Cartridge to be used in a delivery system to filter the blood of patients suffering from 4th stage liver failure.
