Susan Doyle

- I am apart of Freshman Admit Nursing (FAN) at UNF. This entails that I have been in nursing school since my first semester of college.

- I work diligently and am intentional about not complaining.

- GPA of 3.80

- Caring for and investing in children is one of my strongest passions. I enjoy meeting children's practical and medical needs while also pouring into their life and supporting them.

- I have been babysitting on a weekly basis for the last 6 years.

- I have been a mother's helper since as early as 9, and a babysitter since I was 15.

- I have experience with children as young as 6 weeks old, up to 12 year olds.

- Experience inserting IVs.

- Experience giving subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.

- Experience spiking medication bags and setting up.

- General experience caring for patients and their families on a med-surge unit.

- Hands-on experience with neonatal patients in the NICU.

- Experience in the labor and delivery unit, assisting with laboring moms, birth, and postpartum.

- Hands-on experience in the pediatric psych unit.

- Learned how to use therapeutic communication with psychiatric patients.

- Hands-on experience with patients in a rehab unit.

- Shadowed nurses/CNAs on a weekly basis.

- Had hands-on experience caring for both the geriatric community in a nursing home, as well as patients on a med-surge unit.

- Learned how to work as part of a team towards a group goal.

- Learned how to follow instructions, while still growing as a leader.

- Learned how to work in a fast-paced environment

- Reinforcement of the importance and vitality of punctuality

• Fostered relationships with children ages 3-6, as well as their parents on a weekly basis.

- I volunteered approximately once a week.

- I helped care for, rock, feed, and play with babies from 6 weeks to 2 years old.

- This ministry is a non-profit daycare for single moms.
