My experience as a police dispatcher for the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office in Slidell, Louisiana brought me the skills necessary to provide aid and assistance to those in need. Through proper communication, assistance in aiding citizens in troubling situations, and my ability to track problems on a multi-tasking environment allowed me to enjoy my job and leave with a feeling of accomplishment. After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, I was forced into a predicament of a career change to cosmetology and move to Florida.

• Received public emergency and non-emergency calls and supervised response prioritization in order to effectively dispatch official units such as police, fire, and EMS while tracking data in real-time environments.
• Operated telephone and radio equipment to receive requests and reports from police officers, medical dispatch and firefighting crews.

• Automated document flow by ensuring logbooks and fire, accident, and emergency reports were maintained with 100% accuracy.
