I was one of three Team Lead's managing a Nursing Crisis team deployed to California consisting of Registered Nurses and License Practical Nurses. We provided COVID 19 Vaccines to adults, and children. Together with the Department of Public Health, California Life Guards and California Fire Department we worked as a team 12hr shifts, in the rain, and high winds. My job was to assure that vaccines were being administrated properly , and in a safe manner.

• Worked with patients diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, congestive heart failure (CHF), cerebrovascular accidents (CVA), diabetes or sepsis to asses needs and determine best options for care.
• Administered medications and treatments to patients as ordered by physician, maintaining accountability for accurate narcotic count at end of each shift.
• Managed JP drains and chest, nasogastric, G and peg tubes.
• Delivered oral medications, intramuscular injections and IV fluids to mitigate or resolve patient symptoms.

• Promote patient independence by establishing patient care goals for re-entering the community oversell skilled unit of one nurse 3 STNA’s and up to 33 patients, some including dialysis patients.
• Organize the skilled unit in accordance with administrative guidelines in order to provide specified nursing services to meet the legal, organizational and medical staff guidelines.

Manager up to two(2) teams with up to ninety-five(105) patients on both teams as well as clinical staff(RN, LPN, STNA and with the coordination of standard care of practice. Orient team to the IDG process and ensure staff attend and participate in the IDG as required and as appropriate.
