There are several responsibilities as a Tax Examiner Clerk

  • Managed 2 different special processing teams within the workgroup
  • The workload done by these teams include manual assessments, manual closures, appeals, penalty assessments and identity theft
  • Have experience using IDRS, Report Generation Software (RGS), Audit Information Management System (AIMS), Frivolous Return Program (FRP) master database and I input Frivolous Mail
  • The understanding of these programs allows me to contribute to multiple work streams within the business unit
  • For example, I volunteered to assist the Identity Theft team with simplifying case maintenance
  • I developed a spreadsheet that streamlined the tracking of these cases
  • This spreadsheet assisted others on the clerical staff in identifying ID theft cases using AIMS and FRP
  • I work with the Appeals business units archiving closed cases
  • I receive a listing from the Appeals coordinator every other week
