Supervises and coordinates daily operations of clinical and non-clinical staff. Prioritizes, assigns and monitors staff to optimize operational service; fosters a culture of learning and development; coordinates workforce related activities for recruitment and retention of staff; ensures employee satisfaction and engagement; maintains employees' department file; manages the timekeeping/payroll process. Responsible for the application and/or removal of casts from patients in a hospital emergency room and/or orthopedic clinic environment, assistance with preparation of traction equipment, preparation of specialized equipment for use in orthopedic surgeries; and maintenance of inventory in the cast room. Skilled in the application and removal of fiberglass, plaster casts and splints, and apply traction for hospitalized patients.
