The Director/Executive Producer position at Vidda Films is a role that requires a deep understanding of the entire creative process and logistics surrounding commercial scale production. The Director/Executive Producer works closely with the client and talent to put together shot lists, schedules and equipment for all shoots as well as seeing the final edits completed and sent to the client. On larger projects, the Executive Producer would handle all pre-production, production and post-production duties such as budget management, crew acquisition, location scouting, gear rentals, line production, post-production producing and beyond. On sets with a smaller crew, the Director would handle all creative aspects of the shoot including storyboarding/treatments, pre-lighting, talent management and editing.
Tasked with shooting, editing and archiving the day-to-day video requests, the Filmmaker at Oaks Church demonstrated a keen understanding of all equipment (cameras, lighting gear, grip equipment) as well as the vision of the creative arts ministry within the Church.
The main projects the Filmmaker creates is the weekly video announcements, all youth video requests and any special requests made by the executive leadership team.
In addition to the day-to-day tasks, the filmmaker also led and trained the Dream Team volunteers on Sundays and Wednesdays to capture services.
The Oaks Youth Experience Ministry Associate role is a paid intern position on the Youth and Students team at Oaks Church. In this role, the Youth Experience MA is responsible for planning and executing the weekly experience at Oaks Youth. This consists of pre-service elements, creative elements on stage and post-service elements. The Oaks Youth Experience MA is also responsible for planning and executing scheduled activities and events for Oaks Youth summer camp, special services and events. The Oaks Youth Experience MA leads the Middle School Experience and its teams. The Middle School Experience is a service geared towards middle school students with its own worship and message experience. With a team of 6 interns, the Youth Experience MA leads the 6 interns as well as volunteers to plan and execute the service every week. The Youth Experience MA must have sharp leadership skills, keen communication skills and the ability to adapt to changing trends within Youth Ministry.
The Oaks Youth Photography Intern roll consisted of shooting, editing and archiving all photos taken for Oaks Youth as well archiving all photos and editing projects. The Youth Photography Intern demonstrated a clear understanding of the full creative process from idea to implementation for all photography needs within the Youth department. As an added roll, the Photography Intern was tasked with creating a volunteer pipeline for the Dream Team in order to funnel in new volunteers interested in learning photography.
