  • Responsible for providing leadership and oversight as well as coordinating the work activities of 11 to 18 bargaining unit employees which include creating work orders for field repairs on the Three-phase Pad-mounted transformers across the state of Georgia. Manage the warehouse operations of the Main Repair Shop storeroom, 1E Nuclear material, Central Tool Shop, and Repair Shop Transformer Yard.
  • Develop work plans/schedules for the Test and Quality Control areas along with implementing and tracking their success. These plans must be communicated effectively to the Supervisors managing other departments such as Metal Fabrication and Paint which are integral parts in the total refurbishment process of distribution line equipment.
  • Developed and updated tracking spreadsheets for process monitoring and reporting.
  • Work closely with the Environmental Analysts to ensure compliance with the Environment Protection Agency's (EPA) requirements concerning the proper disposal of all transformers containing poly-chlorinated biphenyls (PCB's).
  • Collaborated with Supply Chain Management (SCM) on tracking and storing harvested units for reuse that were left in field from closed commercial businesses and assisting with the proper disposal of rejected units identified for salvage.
  • Set forth expectations comprehensibly and consistently to each direct report ensuring compliance of company policies, acceptable behaviors and objectives.
  • Managed the project of temporarily reinstating the refurbishment of Single-phase Pole-mounted and Pad-mounted transformers which included assembling work teams to sort all equipment taken out of service from the regions and make determinations on the workable status of each unit. Implemented assistance of contract labor services, coded invoices for services rendered and administered work direction to contract laborers.
