My first job was at Dairy Queen and required a lot interactions with customers and working with other people. I didn't work there for long but, being able to interact with coworkers and customers everyday gave me the experience I needed. I made my way to Walmart applying for a grocery stocker position. I was there able to work with a team in the backroom and then being sent out to the floor to stock and interact with customers and help with any questions or concerns. During my time at Walmart I was able to learn and grow as a worker and even as a person. I was taught how to use the machinery in the back, my coworkers taught me how to work efficiently and with haste, showing me certain strategies while stocking. In the back I was taught how to sort the freight that came off the main truck and what came off the frozen trucks.
I have also helped train a couple of fellow associates that proceeded after myself. I have managed my team and motivated them several times when my team leads and managers were not present and received excellent feedback. I wish to find an environment in which I can thrive in, and eventually move up.
