  • Throughout my career, I have worked in both inclusive and self-contained classroom settings, with extensive experience in IEP development, differentiated instruction, behavioral support, and curriculum adaptation. Currently, I serve as the lead Special Educator in a 5th/6th grade self-contained ASD classroom at McKinley Community School, where I provide individualized instruction, develop and manage IEPs, and implement lesson plans using the Rethink and Unique Learning System curricula to support academic, social-emotional, and functional life skills goals.
  • My background also includes elementary inclusion classrooms, middle school math ICR, and K–middle school special education support, where I partnered closely with general education teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to ensure student success. I am committed to creating structured, supportive learning environments where all students feel capable, confident, and valued.
  • I also have a personal connection to Old Bridge, having previously worked as a Substitute Teacher for the Old Bridge Board of Education, where I supported students across preschool through high school and was frequently requested for special education classroom placements. This experience gave me valuable insight into the district’s commitment to student achievement and strengthened my desire to return and contribute as a full-time educator.
  • Thank you for your time and consideration. I would welcome the opportunity to further discuss how my skills and experience can support the students and staff of Old Bridge Township School District. I look forward to hearing from you.
  • Sincerely, Theresa LaRocca, Morganville, NJ, (732) 772-5308, Theresalaroccateacher@gmail.com
