• Track departmental inventory
• inspect all equipment, including tools and company vehicles for safety compliance

• establish and maintain working relationships with commercial property owners and their tenants, staff and customers
• work closely with internal departments such as sales, engineering, and programming to complete and maintain services for commercial properties such as universities, hospitals, sporting arenas/stadiums, hotels, high rise buildings apartment complexes and convention centers
• educate customers, property owners and staff on video and internet equipment
• perform site surveys for prospective clients, develop installation plans and technical diagrams for engineering and sales dept via power point and excel.
• Creation of bill of materials for required inventory and labor hours needed to complete a project and work with our sales dept to establish a budget that would meet minimum and maximum budget requirements for a successful bid.
• Work with clients to meet installation deadlines and various other client specified special needs.
• The installation of communications equipment and infrastructure for property wide internet, standard tv, video over ip, distributed wireless access,over fiber optic and copper infrastructure via various enterprise level switches, routers, firewalls,televes/blonder&tongue QAM transcoders, docis2&3 and Dish Smart box technology.

• Designing layouts for and installing equipment in Headend, I.D.F and M.D.F locations

• Providing onsite customer service before, during and after installation.
• Troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of communications plants at commercial properties utilizing tools such spectrum analyzers, otdr (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer), utility line locators, laptops and fiber optic fusion splicers.

• Setting up and servicing both internal company and 3rd party booths at various large conventions such as “Cedia”
• testing and deploying new technologies such as point to point data radio antennas for data and video transmission to offset customer cost.
• Upselling customers on additional products and services such as home automation technologies.
• Identifying potential leads in the field, such as apartment complexes at beginning stages of construction and providing info to our sales team.
• Work with and manage 3rd party contractors/vendors hired to perform certain tasks, such as directional boring and cabling over builds, to make sure they are done on time and to high standards

• Working with our fraud department to investigate and identify theft of services in commercial settings to eliminate loss of revenue.
