Build a unique and vibrant engagement program that provides meaning and purpose to older adults

• Establish and lead a successful well-attended support group for family caregivers both in and out of our community
• Provide knowledge and insight into regulatory practices and operations management in Minnesota as an experienced member of the leadership team

Spearhead public relations through creative ideas and community outreach, leading to multiple news stories, TV interviews, and articles about the community and senior care.

• Develop and implement life honoring activities for up to 65 residents
• Establish and nurture connections with volunteers and other groups to facilitate a larger feeling of community for our residents, not just in our building, but with the Kasson community, family, and friends
• Build programming individualized to resident needs and interests, using the 7 dimensions of wellness as a framework to create a well-rounded and relevant activity calendar
• Manage a department level budget and provide support to the executive director for maintaining the community budget.

• Supervise, motivate, and hold accountable a team of up to 50 members to provide quality care and programming for up to 64 residents
• Coordinate cooperation with outside agencies (public health, social services, hospice) and community departments (nursing, activities, dining, marketing) to work toward the goal of enhancing quality of life for all residents
• Develop, teach, and implement all new hire and ongoing dementia training for a campus of over 200 employees
• Effectively manage multiple deadlines and needs through prioritization, organization, and a creative problem-solving approach
• Manage the opening of a new state-of-the-art building with unique programming and operations to support individuals needing a highly specialized environment for success.

• Develop and implement Individual Service Plans for seven clients including specific behavioral programming for a number of clients
• Train and supervise 15-20 direct care staff to ensure quality of life for our clients and proper program implementation
• Work in a self-supervised environment toward specific deadlines
• Use self-motivation in developing new training techniques for staff and creating original behavioral management plans for clients
• Manage the budget for 5 homes in the program for several months.
