Team Leader/
Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team responsible for distributing blood products to hospitals and healthcare facilities.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to distribution staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of blood products (such as whole blood, platelets, plasma) to meet demand.
- Coordinate with other departments to optimize inventory and prevent shortages.
- Implement strategies for efficient distribution and utilization of blood products.
Logistics and Transportation:
- Coordinate delivery schedules and routes for blood product transportation.
- Collaborate with couriers and drivers to ensure timely and safe delivery.
- Address any logistical challenges or emergencies that may arise.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that blood products are handled, stored, and transported according to regulatory guidelines.
- Conduct regular quality checks and audits to maintain high standards.
- Investigate any discrepancies or incidents related to distribution.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Work closely with hospital staff, blood drive organizers, and other stakeholders.
Communicate effectively to address any issues, resolve conflicts, and maintain positive relationships.
- Collaborate with other OneBlood teams to achieve organizational goals.
Training and Development:
- Train new distribution team members on procedures, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
- Conducted regular performance reviews to assess individual team member progress.
Biologic's Assistant II:
- Manufacture, store and distribute blood and blood products
- Perform data entry associated with component production, labeling, storage and shipping
Ensure accurate and complete manufacturing records
- Operate, maintain and perform quality control checks on equipment
- Ensure suitability and accurate labeling of products for release and distribution
Perform the quarantine and disposition of unacceptable products and/or samples
Ensure adequate inventory of required supplies.
Medical Courier:
- Efficiently and accurately transporting unprocessed and processed blood and blood products, specimen samples, campus mail, supplies, and medical equipment using an assigned vehicle (van or small truck) to and from branches, hospitals and blood center for processing.
